Our Objectives

1. Identify and rescue girls within the undeclared red-light district of Nepal

  • Work with police and local authorities to rescue women and girls being trafficked at the transportation hub and in the entertainment sector. 
  • Build a network of trusted individuals to intervene in high-risk areas.
  • Coordinate and network with like minded organizations for anti-trafficking, campaigning and awareness.
  • Work with police and local authorities to prosecute and convict traffickers.
  • Manage portfolio of rescued individuals and reporting to the concern line agencies.
  • Produce radio jingles to play on local FM radio for awareness at the transportation hubs and other highly trafficked areas.

2. Provide a safe and welcoming home environment with essential medical care, emotional support, and counseling to address their immediate needs for healing and recovery.

  • Provide trauma-informed counseling services to GFH girls/women.
  • Provide education support to girls under 18 living at our shelter home.
  • Offer vocational training to women, equipping them with life skills for self-employment and securing stable jobs for independence upon leaving GFH.
  • Provide medical support such as regular medical care, vaccination, dental, optical and other necessary care at the shelter home.

3. Offer education and vocational training empowering survivors to develop a skillset where they can work and live independent lives free of exploitation.

  • Offer educational support to girls under 18 residing in our rescue home.
  • Provide vocational training** for women, equipping them with essential life skills to pursue self-employment and secure stable jobs, fostering independence after leaving Garden for Hope.
  • Facilitate income-generating training and offer seed money assistance to families to help them establish small businesses, such as beauty parlors, tailoring, grocery shops and more.

4. Educate and support families to be able to receive their daughter back into their care and community.

  • Provide education on human trafficking to survivor’s families in order to bring understanding to the realities of the situation, while also aiming to prevent further trafficking in the community.
  • Reintegrate rescued girls back to their village and family.
  • Conduct mass awareness campaigns on Anti-Trafficking to local community based organizations, like:
    • youth clubs
    • women’s groups
    • schools
    • ward citizen forums
