Every gift to Garden For Hope goes toward one thing: a safe home in Nepal where girls rescued from trafficking and exploitation can heal for as long as healing takes. Below are all the ways to get there. Garden For Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 39-2956802, and gifts are tax-deductible in the United States to the extent provided by law.
A single gift of any size. $25 provides clothing and care items for a girl arriving at the home with nothing. Make a one-time gift.
Monthly donors are the reason the home can plan past next month. Recurring gifts pay for the things that cannot be raised in an emergency: counseling sessions, school fees, food, rent, staff. Join the Garden of Givers.
Sponsorship covers safe shelter, immediate and long-term medical care, trauma-informed therapy, food and daily necessities for one girl. Sponsors are named on the donor wall inside the home and receive a certificate, a photo of the home, personal updates, and the opportunity to send messages of encouragement. Sponsor a girl.
Businesses, foundations and families can sponsor the home, a wing or a room, with naming rights, on-site recognition and co-branded impact reporting. See sponsorship levels.
Thousands of US companies will match an employee’s charitable donation dollar for dollar, and many match at two or three times the gift. A great many of those matching dollars go unclaimed every year simply because nobody asks. Check your employer’s giving portal — Benevity, Bright Funds, YourCause and similar platforms are the usual ones — and search for Garden For Hope or our EIN, 39-2956802. If you cannot find us listed, tell us and we will get registered.
Run a 5K, host a bake sale, dedicate a birthday, put on a wiffle ball tournament, or invite twelve people to dinner. Peer-to-peer fundraising reaches people we will never meet. Start a fundraiser, or host a dinner.
Tribute and memorial gifts are welcome. Tell us who the gift honours and we will acknowledge it appropriately — including a nameplate outside a room at the room-sponsorship level.
If you are considering any of the following, contact us before you make the transfer and we will walk you through it personally:
Donations directly provide a safe home, nutritious meals, clothing, medical care, counseling, education and vocational training, with the goal of equipping each girl to reintegrate into society and build an independent life. For tax purposes, a Statement of Donation form will be mailed to you. If you have questions about how funds are used, ask us — we would rather answer than have you wonder.
